Our Approach
What's our purpose
Danwadaag Foundation (DF) operates from a philosophy of community. It holds itself to a high degree of responsibility for creating nurturing relationships and strengthening efforts that foster healthy community life. DF is also accountable for the effective management and use of public, private, and government funds in the course of its operations. These interests must be balanced in a way to avoid jeopardizing either the trust in the agency’s ability to affect its pecuniary responsibilities or the integrity of the agency as a community building organization.
The purpose of this policy is to protect the interest of DF when it is contemplating entering into a transaction or arrangement that might benefit the private interest of an officer, director, or employee of DF.
This conflict of interest policy is designed to help DF’s directors, officers and employees identify and manage potential conflicts of interest, consistent with the procedure prescribed in Minnesota Statutes, Section 317A.255, governing conflicts of interest for directors of nonprofit corporations. Any inconsistencies between this policy and 317A.255 shall be controlled by statute. This policy is intended to supplement, but not replace any applicable state laws governing conflicts of interest applicable to nonprofit and charitable corporations.
